Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Reprinted from Newsday, August 12, 2010 New job for News 12″s “Jobline” man If there is anything Scott Passeser is associated with on Long Island, it”s jobs. Passeser, of Fort Salonga, is into his 21st year as host of the News 12 Long Island show “Jobline,” in which he interviews company executives about their businesses and openings they might have. Now Passeser is giving himself a new job: consultant to Long Island companies. Passeser, a marketing and PR guru, has worked for Stony Brook University, dental equipment company Henry Schein Inc. of Melville, Continental Home Loans and others over the years, all the while keeping his cable TV show going. He is so associated with jobs, Passeser said, that he often gets stopped by strangers while weekend shopping. “They think what they see on News 12 Long Island is all I do,” Passeser said. “They don”t know I have a real job.” Passeser said he”s going to help companies put together marketing plans, websites and strategies. “It”s going to be based on a company”s ability to pay,” Passeser said.

Scott and his team create and execute integrated marketing, business development, and public relations strategies, and the team is well versed in the following areas:

    • Strategic Planning
    • Business Development Consulting
    • Sales Recruitment amp; Staffing
    • Social Media

Before moving into marketing and public relations, Scott Passeser was in the staffing, outplacement and career management business for more than 20 years. Scott was so well respected in this field that he was asked by the Consortium of Worker Education, in October of 2001 to run a re-employment program for over 1,000 Long Islanders displaced by the events of 9/11. Passeser personally conducted group workshops, individual counseling sessions and wrote a professional resume and cover letter for every dislocated worker.

The results? A 100% placement record. Scott counts among his outplacement clients Henry Schein, Inc., Twinlab, Whitbread North America, a subsidiary of Hiram Walker, Norden Systems and Blockbuster Video. As one of Long Island’s premier career management professionals, Scott has written more than 10,000 resumes. Thanks to his television show News 12 Long Island’s Jobline, broadcast since 1989, Scott can connect job hunters with employers in a unique way.

I strongly recommend Scott Passeser as a communicator and speaker.

Scott came to speak at my 21st Century Job Skills class on the topic entitled “Ninja Secrets of Persuasion for Job Seekers.” The talk was well organized, pertinent to the audience and was delivered extemporaneously. After the talk, the audience felt comfortable enough to ask many questions. This presentation could be adapted to many audiences. If he is available when the next session of my class runs, I would be happy to have him put in a repeat performance for a new group.
I am happy to be available to anyone seeking additional information.” November 9, 2010

Karen Mura

“My wife and I went to Scott in 1991 for his job help because of his reputation at that time, I had just sold a long term business and we were looking for new direction with Scotts expertise (even then) he got my wife a job at Bloomingdales in the rug dept. Marilyn is still at the job. Thanks Scott! He also gave me great advice directing me to the merchant credit card business and I am pleased to report I followed his advise and at this point I am still in that very good business of selling merchant credit card processing making a good living and loving the business. Thanks Scott!” August 17, 2010

Peter Ekstrom, President amp; CEO, Dealbuilders, Inc.

“I have worked directly and indirectly with Scott for nearly ten years. I am very comfortable in expressing that he has incredible energy and a “do whatever is needed roll up your sleeves” mentality to achieve business objectives. His positive demeanor, employment experience and knowledge in marketing and business development sets him far above anyone I have been associated with in the job recruitment industry.” January 3, 2010
